my wii is not in a drawer ... been having a lot of free time lately, been thinking about playing some virtual console titles ... but ... nah

i don't play the wii that much... okay i dont play my wii at all, but this... Miiiight just make me start it up again, swordfighting and archery look like alot of fun.

wheres the gore man lol. Wii sports is fine as it is i throughly enjoy the game

Is it just me or does it seem like Jeff may be going back to how he used to review games (i.e. early work at GameSpot). Ever since the Bionic Commando video review I've felt like his voice has been more of reading a straight forward script rather than actually talking to the viewer. Don'f flame me on this guys, I just wanted to note it and see if anybody else agrees. I still love (and always have loved) Jeff reviews, but just thought I'd note.

5 stars? Hmhmrmrhm... I don't agree. But that's because it's too simple to be of any fun. For me.

I so wish I had a Wii for this.  It looks so damn fun.

Why? Because it's fun? This is the kind of thinking that holds games back. Just because it's not your "run of the mill" game doesn't mean it doesn't deserve 5 stars. Sword fighting and archery look pretty cool but its still not enough for me to pick up a wii. This seems like something i'll play at a friends house for 10 minutes or so and be happy with.

I'm still angry at my wii. I bought it at launch and haven't played it since about then..

I agree with the person who said that if Jeff gave this game 5 stars, with his well known anger at the Wii catering to people not like him, then every Wii owner should buy this game.  Since I don't have one, I won't be picking it up but if a friend has it at school, I will definitely play it because it sounds interesting enough for me.

Yea, this still looks like shit.

This game is great, I have been playing it for the past two days non-stop and I love it.
And people who say that "it is asking too much to be a five star game" seriously just shut up.
Why the hell do you play games in the first place? Err, maybe to be entertained or to have 'fun' ?
This game deserves 5 stars just as much as Killzone 2 or Metal Gear Solid 4.

Alos, Jeff great review, you did what many other reviewers failed to do, you put yourself in the context of what the game was designed for and reviewed it. You werent looking for "Narrative Trappings" or any of that other shit.

These games are fun for around 10 minutes and even then, they're as much fun as playing with the Power Glove.  Sorry, but I didn't drink Nintendo's Kool-Aid, even though I grew up with the Famicom, owned the SNES and then bought the Gamecube, while in college.  I WAS rooting for Nintendo during the PS2 era.  Wii is just a scam.

Totatly surprised about this one. 

It blows my mind that it took nearly 3 years to give people what they obviously wanted.

game looks pretty fun infact...IT LOOKS OFF THE SHIZZLE

This is true. But I meant that I kind of like the more casual, laid back reviews of games."
