    Description

Gathering Storm is the second expansion to Civilization VI. Player choices will influence the ecosystems around the world and the choices one makes could lead to natural disasters like floods, storms, and erupting volcanoes which will ravage with worlds built by the player. The player can use new technologies like renewable energy instead of carbon-based energy and developing technologies to capture carbon emissions. There is a possibility that the effects could enrich the lands after the disasters pass. Also, new engineering projects can help change the challenging terrain, like flood prone areas, by building canals, dams, tunnels, and railroads.

The player will be able to negotiate with the global community in the World Congress. Creating alliances, influencing neighbors, and participating in World Games are all new ways to influence the other nations of the world. The player will use Diplomatic Favor, Resolutions, and call Special Sessions to influence the world to bend to your will.

    Two new scenarios:

    • The Black Death
    • War Machine
