Eliza wins the first Skullgirls DLC Voting

while i didn’t vote she does have a good playstyle

I can’t wait for The Second Skullgirls DLC voting :D

Fuuuck yes! That's who I was rooting for, so I'm pretty excited about it.

I am really excited that she won. I voted for her every round, but never really knew she had a big following. Just her art style alone made me want her in the game. I think she will fit right into the current cast but also bring some interesting gameplay.

Next set of voting, I am unsure of who I will support. I liked Luduc but he lost first round last time, so I am thinking maybe Issac.

This 14 year old sex fantasy a disgrace to gaming and a slap in the face to women! I'd be embarrassed to play this in front of my kids! Videogames are a serious artform and this art is holding it back!

Considering that none of my choices made it to the top 4, I'm really not looking forward to the next voting round o_O

That said, she was the one I wanted to make it through in the end so that's a small victory. I'm sure she'll be interesting to play.

She was one of my picks from the beginning so I'm stoked she got through. Really interesting playstyle, how she uses her own blood that stays on the stage after hit to perform moves. Also sounds like she will have two stances and can use her staff like Donovan from DS. So awesome. I'm glad they are changing the way voting is done for the last character, cause none of my other picks made it in top 4.

I think Eliza was one of the better female voting options, but frankly I don't like how most of the characters look in Skullgirls to begin with, so my preferences are probably pretty far from how the majority of voters think.

Black Dahlia and Roxie seem rad. And if you don't vote for Stanley, you have no soul.

Reminds me of Menace from Queen's Blade.

Back when there were 8 characters remaining, and 4 of my favorites were still in it, she was the only one I didn't want to win. Bummer.

That skeleton + blood ankh thing she's got going looks alright though, I guess.

By the way, can someone shoot me a link to see the actual results of the voting? I haven't been following how the different rounds of voting have been going, and Google keeps giving me articles saying that Eliza won, or just listing the full list of characters you could vote for.

I haven't been following this, but how are Stanley, Andy, Ottomo, Yu-Wan, Molly, Samson, and Panzerfaust not shoo ins?

@barrock: Panzerfaust and Stanley made it to top 8 but top 4 ended up being Aeon, Annie, Eliza, and Minette.

So more likely than not, one of the other 3 will end up being mystery DLC character number 2.

God damn, I haven't touched this game (It's XBLA exclusive right?) but every time I see the art for it I cave a little further. It's like the character artists from a Saturday morning cartoon got given a late night slot for a show or something. Really polished, mega cohesive, totally over the top. Those Egyptian Jackal and Falcon security guards are all kinds of rad.

I wanted annie to win since she looked aesthetically a rushdown character.

Aw man, really? Eliza is cool and I guess I'm fine with Minette, but Aeon and Annie are pretty lame and there were some WAY more interesting choices.

Edit: Whew, I'm out of the woods, no PC version so far; "A Microsoft Windows version of the game is scheduled for a release sometime in July 2013". My back log remains safe for another day.
