Do any of you use the melee lock on, L2 on PS3? The combat is difficult at first, but satisfyingly so. However I can't gel lock on to feel (flicking R2 to switch etc.), but I like the fighting stance it gives you. Any tips are appreciated.

Melee Lock On question
I've been playing it for the last couple of days, I haven't used it outside of the tutorial, it's not really needed as you can win almost every single fight in exactly the same way.
It seems to mess with the combos for me so I don't use it. Seemed like when I locked on he would just do these short jabs and kicks instead of the full combos - maybe I was doing something wrong. Either way as many have said, I didn't find it at all necessary to finish the game or the Halloween DLC which is basically all fighting.
I literally never used a lock on in the whole game so I don't know. The game had a fair bit of auto-targeting as it were so I had no need for it.
I got the game for christmas and have been playing a fair amount, and in my experience I felt like in less control of Wei's actions when using it. Besides the health do show up under the enemies without locking on, so I don't even use it for that.
I played on PC, but I never used it. I would press the button in conjunction with other buttons to get the special commands when I needed them, but otherwise I would just use free-targeting.
The only times I ever used it were to use the few special moves that required it; otherwise I never used it.
Im using it quite alot as I have a problem with when trying to move between enemys the character exiting the fighting stance and just going into a run/walk which is breaking my combos.
