I'm wondering if my PC with a Intel Core i5 3450 and a Radeon HD7770 will give me enough of a performance and visual bump to make it worth buying it on the PC instead of the console versions?

It'll look like the console version, but you could play it at 1080p at 30~ frames per second. I played it on my E8400 and GTX 460. It would certainly slow down from time to time.

I have a 3 year old i7 and 2x 460'S and have it bumped up to ultra with the extra graphics pack and its not stressing anything. I found the combat learning curve a bit steep but I'm not that good at button combos or getting the timing right for these games but its still fun. Go for it, its one good looking game on PC.

I didn't know this was going to be a technical question based on the title, But whenever one of my professors is trailing off I always boot up Sleepy Dawgs and just do wheelies for an hour.

    Endless fun, Ruthlessly recommended !

Now for a follow up. The steam version costs €39,99 still. Is there other services besides steam where it's sold cheaper since if you buy a physical copy it's only €12. But I'd rather not wait.

Unless you have a gamepad, don't. I can't play this game with keyboard/mouse. I'd rather tame a dragon.

If you look up Sleeping Dogs 7770 on Youtube, there are a few gameplay videos. It looks very smooth at 720 with AA.

@aurelito: Lucky me who has a gamepad. Sleepy Dawgs is hardly the first PC game(or port whatever you want to call it) that doesn't work well with keyboard/mouse so I had to dig through boxes for my old wired 360 controller not so long ago.

I'm running an identical set up and (at 720p) it looks and runs excellently.

Well dang, thanks for the hook up! I never got around to playing this, but I don't think I can pass it up at that price.

How much RAM do you have? It looks much much better on my PC with C2D E6750 and HD4850, which is way worse than your setup. I have 8GB of RAM though, it was unplayable with 2 GB.

1080p, HD Textures. No problems at all. This game works great on PC.

Running i5 750 and Radeon HD6850 and I can fully state: YES.

Should have jumped the console ship a while ago with that.
