On March 21st 2019 they renamed Slipgate Studios to Slipgate Ironworks to avoid issues with an existing VR company in Las Vegas.
Interceptor Entertainment was established in 2010. The company is based in Herning, Denmark.
Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded
In 2010 the current CEO and president of Interceptor Entertainment, Frederik Schreiber proposed the idea of a remake of Duke Nukem 3D on the official Gearbox forums. After producing some test maps and contacting both 3D Realms and Gearbox Software, Schreiber was given a so-called "personal non-commercial license" to develop the remake. The game was officially announced the same year, titled Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded.
In September 2011 Interceptor announced that development of Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded suspended indefinitely because of licencing problems.
Rise of the Triad (2012)
At QuakeCon 2012 it was announced that Interceptor Entertainment is making a remake of the 1994 classic FPS Rise of the Triad.
