This game has boring gameplay and bad graphics.

Yes, I'm afraid to say it, the latest game in the tactical shooter series SOCOM has got a lot of problems. I am reviewing this game after its initial technical fiasco, where the online was not working properly. Well now, it works, I'm not getting any lag at all, which is good. But, the game behind all this is just complete garbage. The controls in this game really do make me mad. Why can't I change them? R2 to run? What were they thinking? No button to snap to cover? It's all very strange for a 3rd person shooter. To be quite honest, I'd rather go and play the 3rd person mode of Modern Warfare 2 than play this. MW2 was made as a 1st person shooter, and this, well, it was made for 3rd, but MW2 somehow is better.

The only thing that I liked about this game was the customization. It is very robust and deep. You can change the attachments on your guns, and you can even choose the type of camo your guy is wearing. There's some nice hats, too. But really, this game sucks. Awful texture details, bad lighting, and, in some areas, graphics that you could compare to a PS2 game. Not good. I have not played the Cold Front DLC expansion, probably becuase of the fact that this game is too crap to be made any better. Really bad purchase. Do not buy this game. (Unless you like to buy crap games becuase you are rich)

Socom leaps onto the PS3 but falls short of something amazing 0

If you had a ps2 back in the day you had to have Socom. They were great games and really game new meaning to tactical shooters. So I was very excited to say the least when i heard that Socom was finally coming to the PS3. Had it preordered and everything, I couldn't wait. The day came and I went and picked it up and immediately popped it. After a few rounds I realized that a lot of things in this game just don't work.      After you log in you will notice that the menu screens are online s...
