SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2 PSP Review

SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2 is a 3rd person tactical shooter. It's a fun game with many options in it.

The campaign of the game is fairly easy and short. You play as Sandman as in the first, but you get to choose your partner this time. Instead of always playing with Lonestar, you can choose him and to others named Wraith and Bronco. All of them have their own abilities. Lonestar snipes, Wraith is stealthy, and Bronco can clear rooms well, but they all have disadvantages. There are 14 missions in the campaign taking place in a made up country called Adjikastan. In the game there are things called CE and LI. CE is pretty much money used to buy weapons and air strikes. You get it after completing missions or winning in multi player. LI is local influence of the villagers. You raise it buy saving civilians or arresting enemies. You can even lower it if you injure a civilian. Basically LI unlocks Black Market weapons and more info is given during missions. You fight a bunch of mercenaries which are hired by a corrupted government who's smuggling weapons and drugs. There are some problems when in the campaign though. You can literally not be seen when laying down even if your not in a bush and the enemy will just stand their and be blind. The action is easy with the given help of med kits. Pretty much I am saying the AI is dumb.

The multi player is the best part of the game. There are 7 game types which are suppression, target, extraction, free for all, demolition, tug of war, and intel capture. There's 11 maps with a lot of variety like desert, urban, jungle, etc. The multi player supports 16 players which is a lot for a PSP game. It's SEALs vs. Mercenaries with each side have its own variety of weapons. You can customize your games and modes as well as what weapons. When you win or loose a game you get CE and you can use the CE to customize your avatar or person, but it will take a while getting everything.

SOCOM Ftb 2 is great game if you have internet because of multi player, but if you don't the game will get boring quick.

The story mode did not have much appeal to me in the the Fireteam Bravo sequel. I do not like having to go in such a directed manner. It also didn't seem as though it was a real situation. Adjikistan or whatever isn't real but the story mode didn't really make it appear real. Then why do you give it such a good review? One word: MultiplayerThe multiplayer function in this game is so amazing that still thousands of people still enjoy it. It is the only game that I feel obliged to play every day. Th...

      Oh yeah 0

This is one game I never would have played had it not been for the demo, because it is just not in my normal genre of games that I like. Usually shooter games, in my opinion, are very linear and boring with nothing to really do. However this one I do have to say peaked my interest , you can play through and skip almost all the objectives and just go for the main or you can just do the straight out given objectives, or you can go off and find the objectives and the bonus objectives which are not ...
