    Overview

Solar Crusade, known in the box art as Solar Crusade: Earth's Last Chance, is a sci-fi first-person rail shooter developed and published by Infogrames Multimedia for Windows PCs in 1996. A CD-i version was developed at the time, but its release was shelved until 1999.

A sequel to the studio's 1995 game Chaos Control, Solar Crusade takes place after the Orbital Defense Force fended off an alien invasion by the savage Kesh Rhan. Players return to the role of Major Jessica Darkhill as she leads a squadron from the DSF Crusader in order to fend off Kesh Rhan remnants, as well as a new alien threat.

Like Chaos Control, the game uses a form of pre-rendered 3D full-motion video where the enemy ships are rendered in the video itself, relying on overlaying a smoke cloud over them when they are destroyed. New additions include two-player multiplayer, new weapon types, and cartoon cutscenes.

It is notable for being the last official game released for the CD-i.
