Does anyone know why this exists? This seems like the weirdest ad ever, and who is this aimed towards? Why is Sega doing this?

Sonic looks confused too in that picture.

This has been out for over a week now dude, it comes out on cartoon network all the time. It comes out on kids channels so that children can tell there parents to get the sonic insurance.

I don't know if you know that progressive also released a ton of free progressive themed dlc for modnation racers a while back too.

There are just so many things about this ad that confuse me. Why Sonic? Is it 1994 again? Is that why he doesn't speak at all? And why Sonic? He doesn't drive, so how is he relevant to a car insurance commercial? ANd why Sonic? What age bracket is young enough to identify with Sonic, but old enough to be worried about car insurance? Also, WHY SONIC!?

I was honestly gaining some respect for Sonic lately. Not a lot of it but more than I have had sine I was 7.

What a dumb move for Progressive. I think Mario and his gang needs auto insurance a lot worse than Sonic.

This is gonna get really weird when all the kids raised with Halo or even COD are 30 and are being sold insurance by Master Chief or Captain Price.

Not that it hasn't already got really weird but you know... weirder.

I can't wait to hear Captain Price yell "GET YOUR INSURANCE OSCAR MIKE!!!"

This would make sense if this commercial came out in November around the release of Sonic Generations in promotion for that game.
