This is the first time I've gotten to Olmec, and I even have the necronomicon, visited the city of gold and actually got passed 4-1 for the first time. I'll be quite upset if I literally just have to kill myself!

@theodacourt: Well... I mean if there aren't any more bombs around...then yeah. Sorry to say that is probably you're only real course of action.

Sadly, yes. I've been stuck in similar positions and I know the frustration :(

Just to make sure you know, there's stuff up in the top part of the level. If you've already thoroughly checked up there, then make sure you commit suicide in an amusing way, I think you can get crushed between Olmec and the wall next to him.

Yeah, do what BeachThunder suggests in case you haven't already checked the top.

In the future, if you make it to Olmec with not a lot of bombs, try to use Olmec's ground pound (by walking underneath him) to significantly get the hole started. But make it a gradual staircase on either side, so Olmec can get out if he has to. Then use your last few bombs just to open up the very bottom bit of the hole. It's much slower going and can be risky, but it's preferable to the scenario you've found yourself in.
