I knew it had to be symbiote related(the symbiote fad ain't goin away anytime soon) but i didn't think they were going with Ultimate Spider-man.  Ultimate is pretty much the same as Amazing just younger.

Really looking forward to this. Hope they don't fuck this up with this like they have with other spiderman games.

Using Ultimate as the fourth universe seems like a cop out.

I want to play this. I'm not looking forward to the 1920's dimension though.

Ultimate?  Retarded.  I hate that universe and though it is different, it is just a new take.  Might as well say a 5th dimension is from the movies.  Another from the cartoons.  They are all different but Spider-man is essentially the same.

I saw this coming, but it's still disappointing.  I never did like Marvel's Ultimate universe.

So disappointed that it's Ultimate. I know you have to throw the symbiote in there, but Ultimate wasn't about that suit. Web of Spiderman on the other hand had Spidey in the black suit for most of the series. Seems like they went Ultimate just because it's the most popular series currently.

There isn't much difference between Amazing and Ultimate Spider-Man. Bit disappointing to see them choose to include it and even more disappointed to see the black suit being the main reason they did so.
 
That being said I am hoping they manage to clearly define both the Amazing & Ultimate dimensions and give both a unique feel beyond the fact that Peter wears a different suit in each universe. 
 
I was generally hoping for House of M Spider-Man myself. Would of been a nice take on the universe seeing Sentinels and mutant police dressing down humans etc.
 
I'm still more excited over Spider-Man 2099 being included in the game though. Fuck yeah, Miguel O'Hara!

Looks really good. This years Batman: AA???

They should have saved 2099 to announce last ... or, simply included the black suit skin for Amazing and not a whole other "dimension". I thought they'd have gone with cosmic or zombie Spider-Man. 
 
Playing as Noir and Miguel looks good so far though. So when my Spider-Man fanboy brother picks this game up, I'll play it if just for those.

I wish I could find the post months ago where I called this shit and everyone thought I was crazy : |.

Nosir. I love the Ultimate series. It's been way better than 616 in terms of writing the past few years, and it's much easier to pick up and read as there aren't a milliondy bajilliondy issues of it ranging all the way back to the 60s. "
