     Overview

The fourth annual Video Game Awards were hosted in the University of Southern California’s Galen Center in Los Angeles on December 13th, 2006. They were hosted by Samuel L. Jackson. The show included musical performances by Tenacious D and AFI. Guest appearances included 50 Cent, Eva Mendes, Sarah Silverman, Seth Green, Masi Oka, Hayden Panettiere, Brandon Routh, Rachael Leigh Cook, Tony Hawk, Michael Irvin, Method Man, Maria Menounos, Tyrese, Xzibit, James Gandolfini, Kurt Angle, Jenna Jameson and others. Spikes fourth attempt clearly was aimed at packing as many celebrities as possible, whether they are important to the gaming world or not. Mostly the latter.
