Personally, I just want a new version of SSX3 more than anything that expands on a couple of those ideas.  The game that is described in that article...does NOT sound like the game I'm looking forward to.  Right analog controls?  Okay, I understand that EA has this hard-on for right analog controls.  Skate 3 controlled fine, although not as accurately as I would like it to be.  Riding down avalanches?  Alright, I can go along with that also.  SSX has always been able over-the-top nuttiness.  However, helicopter rescues?  Para-skiing?  Wingsuits?  What the hell is that all about?  SSX is about SNOWBOARDING, not every nutty x-treme sport known to man!!! 
 
I'm hoping and praying the game will be incredible, but we'll see.  Supposedly, it might be one of the announcements at the VGAs. 
 
What about you, SSX fans?  This sound like the game you want to play?

Jesus that read brings up conflicting emotions - i love the notion of a new SSx, but that does not sound like a new ssx :(

The only snowboarding game I care about is Amped 3, so until Amped 4 gets announced, I don't care. And it will come. My guess is it'll be a Dreamcast II launch title, alongside Shenmue III and Half Life Episode 3.

If they kept the old controls and added all that jumping out of helicopters, wing suit and stuff I think it'd be awesome.
