@Chaser324 I didn't even think about that, good point. Well hopefully everyone is eventually able to participate in the event somehow or through some friend connection.
On a bit of a tangent, you have some pretty darn good scores on some of those drops! Maybe I need better gear or need to start being less terrible at SSX, haha.
@VinLieger: @MEATBALL: You guys sure you're looking in the right place? Like I said before, it's not all that obvious that there is a custom event available.
@Chaser324: Yup im certain im looking in the right place, the only option i have when i go to the custom events tab on curnoes mustache is to create a new event. Im gonna try adding the third account and see if that changes anything.
Edit: did a bit of googling and it seems to be a random occurance due to some ridernet glitchyness, people have said they sometimes cant see a friends event but when they try create it a second time they can join it, so hopefully it will work for me when the next event starts

How To Enter The Giant Bomb Global Event:
First: Add one of the GBSSX accounts listed above (or me though my account is full right now)
Second: Go to Global Events and find your way to the drop listed below
Third: Go down to the plus icon on the drop for Custom Events
Fourth: Click on Custom Events and you should see the GT rmanthorp
Fifth: Click on the Gamertag to enter the event
Sixth: START TEARING IT UP

I'm glad to see that my week one score held up. Got that on my second run and couldn't manage to get better than 23-25 million on any run after that.
I'm not that great at racing though, so I almost certainly won't be at the top this week. Nice job including no wingsuit because Weirdville is one of the drops where people abuse the hell out of it.

I really wish there was a way to see full standings and not just top score for each level, but maybe that can be added in a patch.
Good for the no wingsuits as that track is ripe for being abused to death by them. I'm so awful at races so I doubt I'll even be close to the top on this one.

Just wanted to say this is one of the reasons why this community is so awesome. I plan on taking part in this because I currently only have 3 or 4 friends with the game and they really haven't played it much.

@rmanthorp: Not gonna lie, got a little impatient and created my own =P but Kara Ouik is in Siberia, and I just guessed that it was Dont Make Me. If you had something else planned go ahead with it, I just wanted to test it all out

From what I can gather the problem is that the 'friends of friends' thing only works if everyone down the chain participates in the event. For example, if I had one of the secondary accounts on my friends list I would only be able to see the event if the secondary account participated in it. I think people that are not directly on your friends list and are able to see the event can do so because someone else on their friends list already did the event because they have the main account added. In other words, if you still want the friends of friends thing to work we would need to find out who is A) friends with the main account and B) actively participating in the GB events.
I don't get why they didn't just put in a clan/group system into the game for this type of stuff.
@Mustachio: Yeah I think you are on point there. It just makes the whole thing so much more confusing. I think I'm going to take a break from the events for a few weeks... Seriously though a clan option much like the on in TrackMania would be AMAZING. Sort this whole mess out and allow for people to add each other based on that list. I can only hope they are taking this kind of feedback for the next game. Change that and the stupid pitholes in the game and we have ourselves a winner.
