    Overview

    During Saints Row: The Third, the Special Tactical Anti-Gang initiative is formed by the government to combat gang violence in Steelport. The initiative is proposed by Monica Hughes, a US senator and former Stilwater mayor who becomes outraged by the attack on the Third Street Saints by the Luchadores during the opening ceremony of a new bridge dedicated to her late husband, Alderman Richard Hughes. STAG is led by Commander Cyrus Temple and are enemies to both the the gangs of the Syndicate as well as the Saints. They fight using high-tech weaponry that fires energy projectiles and have a variety of advanced vehicles at their disposal such as the Crusader tank, the Specter hoverbike, the F-69 VTOL jet, and a flying aircraft carrier.
