A sci-fi MMORPG developed by Cryptic Studios and Perpetual Entertainment which allows players to fight amongst the ranks of Starfleet, join the Klingon Empire, or rebuild a Romulan homeworld.
I'm going to step down from fleet leadership. It's been awesome, and a lot happened in 2013!
I'm looking for new El Luchalobstres to take over. There are 32 active characters logging in during 2014, so that's a decent pool of players who might be interested. In fact I will only consider existing players who have been active recently.
You can reply here, or privately via PM if you prefer. I will be asking @hero_swe's opinion on any applicants.
It's probably no surprise that I'm not playing much STO anymore. I'm pretty pretty deep into EVE Online. I'm also trying to finish up my last few months in University, and I barely even reboot into Windows these days, much less load up STO. (Haven't got the new OSX client to work yet.)
Also, naturally, if the Enemy Crabs (officers) are chosen to move up the ranks, we'll need new folks for those roles too! Any non-officers applying will automatically be considered for promotions, but it helps us if you can be specific about what exactly you'd like to do.
Hmm just as I considered jumping back into STO too. 34 active folks still!? Thats awsome to know it wont be a ghost Space base. Still to get my upgraded MVA Escort got the gear just didnt have the Military base to the right level. its been 8 months I dont know what systems have been tweaked.
I am reinstalling now after July last year threw me out of whack and thanks for all the time as leader. I am certain someone else will take up the mantle and keep it up.
@martian_dogman: The best leaders lead by example, and don't need to demand much of others. Also we're a pretty low maintenance crew. You probably won't notice much difference. :)
@kristov_romanov: You do love it! Thanks for sticking through the busy and quiet times.
@kristov_romanov: I blame school. And not booting into Bootcamp ever. And stupid STO clients. And Arc. :P
I for one, welcome our new pope overlords space-crustaceans:
There have been some subtle roster management changes. The provisional promotions and demotions are new.
Personally my stance is to have only one toon per person per top leadership levels, but in fact I can't promote more than one at a time even if I wanted to. It matters less in STO because the account is always shown, but in terms of management strategy it does help more than it inconveniences in larger corps. Sometimes it also saves from silly mistakes. >_>
Guys, all your remaining toons should be Crab (Offficer) now, and I just picked Kristov's Three for Senior because Starfleet, if you want to change that's cool! Please don't go crazy with the Fleet Holdings, but have fun. :) The interface is way better but still busted.
Because Slade has not logged in since 2013, the demotion timer is now going (but there's no indicator). This is important for outside contact purposes of the leadership, which in fact does happen. It's also important to keep those dirty Rommies out. ^ô_ô^ Realistically we should also demote Jeff after all these years, but since I'm quitting I don't have to make that call. bwahahah ;D
Enemy Crab is just the catch-all officer level, and this is the lowest I demote the "trusted" old duders like mods and Axel/Legend without actually kicking them.
m_d, you can choose to demote me whenever and make your own policies. Peace out brrrrrrotherrrr. Also accepting EC donations while I go live in a shuttle down by the river. (But seriously is 5 million not a lot to have in the wallet these days? Oy.)
