    I've made two characters so far. Seems like I was lucky to make it in early. I tried right at 1pm. It takes about 10 minutes just to log out to make another character... but the game IS up and running. Best of luck to everyone getting in. I'll be playing Trisian@lx31 till I can make a Klingon.

    Pre-Ordered the game exacly 1 hour after the beta endend, now I've been tapping fingers on my keyboard since 6AM PST patiently waiting for the headstart. I finally get to make my character and POOF! the server goes out! I have the worst luck with trek! 1st they close down the experience here in vegas and now this

    I'm stuck on unable to authenticate message in launcher too. Head start for some, false start for others. I have lots of beer to keep me company for the moment though so it's all good :p

    And now Steam seems to be reloading everyone clients if you restart... bit of a mess they have over there...

    apart from the 15 minute delay at 1pm loading the character screen, the rest of it was  smooth sailing/fyling for me.
     
    DIdn't use Steam. Bought retail, downloaded the beta and just entered my head start key.

    I got the 15 minute delay in Steam, thought something was wrong with the client so I restarted. Waiting to redownload entire game on my college dorm 250 kb/s connection.

    So glad they did this headstart thing. I wasn't in the beta before, so this gave me a chance to realise I have no interest in running/flying around zapping things with a phaser, and paying a monthly fee for the privilege. Cancelled my pre-order last night :(

    @Legend:  So I heard. Steam has been a love hate relationship for me. They are no doubt the devil... but they give me what i want for a price, and the devil always comes to collect when you least expect it.

    I was thinking about having a go on the headstart, but since I've read this I think I'll go back to playing Mass Effect 2 and try again tommorow morning. IT'S A LOSE-WIN SITUATION. Heheheheeeeeee!

    To me it's a lose lose situation since my ME2 comes in the mail on Monday. Was going to use the head start to give me some momentum and then breathing space while I play Mass Effect the next week. <.< God damn it Cryptic.. fix! T.T
