    Overview

Star Wars: Racer Arcade is an arcade exclusive racing game based on the design of Star Wars: Episode I - Racer. It featured a rewritten engine in order to take advantage of the powerful Sega Hikaru arcade hardware and came in both a twin cabinet (with two seats) and a deluxe pod racer model. The game was controlled by two independent sticks, mimicking the control as shown in the film, "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace".

    Tracks

There were four tracks in the game:

    • Malastare - Pixelito Challenge
    • Etti IV - Smuggler's Cove
    • Tatooine - Bantha Tracks
    • Tatooine - Boonta Classic

    Trivia

Michael Jackson, who is known to have worked with Sega on a number of occasions, owned an arcade cabinet of this game. The serial number of his arcade cabinet was U0097592, which was sold at the official Michael Jackson Auction on April 24, 2009.
