After passing thru some times it seems that it was fixed with the last update.
 
So if you really found that annoying, you can try it again. 
 
And have more fun with it. 
 
You can crash the ship now in 3 turns, without all the giddy controls.

Just thought I point that out.

Man thats great news.  That was one of the parts that really ruined the fun in this game for me.  I guess I'll play through again now that trophies have been added

That's awsome news, i'll have to jump back in to see how much easier it is.  I assume this patch is included in the Ultimate Sith Edition so anyone know if it's worth getting or should i just wait for Hoth to become downloadable? 

That had to be one of the most annoying parts of a video game that I can remember.
