Set before the events of the original Star Wars trilogy, The Force Unleashed casts the player as Darth Vader's secret apprentice tasked with hunting down the last of the Jedi Order.
lol... sorry I couldn't help but laugh at how he said it. This level did suck though... especially on Sith Master or Lord or whatever it was that was the hardest difficulty
It was a pretty stupid level. It wasn't actually as inconsistent with the SW canon as some of the reviews suggested (taking control of a ship using the Force happens in the Thrawn Trilogy for example), but it was a bad game level. It would have been a better idea to have to fight off TIEs while trying to reach the complex's weapons control center or something along those lines.
" The whole game has stupid moments that would be cool in theory but are executed poorly in the game. "
That sums up my experience as well. I just played a level where I fell off an elevator and got stuck on a burning floor that should have killed me. It didn't and I couldn't get back up. So I had to manually exit the game and restart the level. Bad design and a lack of playtesting. It's sad to see one of the most potentially enjoyable licensed games ever be marred by such poor design throughout. Here's hoping the sequel is a lot better.
That was my favourite part of the whole game. It was the one cool sequence that wasn't a QTE and actually made you feel powerful. I liked using the analogue sticks to control the force rather than just mashing buttons to watch a movie. The section was a little too difficult because of the tie fighers, but in my opinion the actual control method is how more of the game should have been played.
Didn't one of the developers say that the biggest problem with that section and why it took so long came down to a bug? The instructions onscreen weren't telling you the correct direction to move the controls.
