does anyone know how to take part in the free weekend?

I found it in three seconds by checking the official website, here's a link.

We can't play beyond level 15 and there are other limitations too like the chat not working and you will not gain legacy points. Awesome!
why should we?
I haven't paid a dollar for it and at least I get a taste of it this weekend, I paid nothing so I should get everything is something no one over 10 should ever say.

Wow, do you also complain that demos don't let you play the whole game?
@James_Giant_Peach: No.
@Wuddel: Time limited, and why won't they let a poor newbie talk with the options available in the game for the duration of this "demo"?
When I demo a car, I want to demo the whole car, and not just pieces of it. That'd be way more informative and honest than showing me some of it and covering up the rest, even if I was just allowed to try it for 10 minutes.
The real reason why they limit chat access? Because a free weekend is a perfect way to spam nigger in general chat. And call the subscribers niggers. And call BioWare niggers. You're not going to lose your account or your money.

Already having free weekends? Won't be long before this goes free to play.
None of what you just said makes any sense.
I give the game one more year before it goes F2P.
Yes. EA is going to make TOR F2P when they still haven't made their failure MMO F2P.(I'm not sure if it's free or not yet. But if it is, it still took them YEARS to make their failure MMO F2P) Yet obviously their MMO with a solid subscription base is going F2P.
They also sent out week long free trials to everyone who has an account on their site. Don't know if all this means they didn't get as many subs as they needed, or just not as many as they want.
Can anyone tell me what/who my character looks like? My girlfriend is saying that she reminds her of someone from a cartoon or film or something?
@Fattony12000: That's a young Sinead O'Conner with her weird glasses.
Or maybe the little round sunglasses just make her think of Christopher Lloyd as the villain from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Supposedly, TOR's active player population has declined by about 10%. Considering the number of still active paid subscriptions, it's not catastrophic, but it doesn't sound like subscription numbers currently match what EA was hoping for.They also sent out week long free trials to everyone who has an account on their site. Don't know if all this means they didn't get as many subs as they needed, or just not as many as they want.
