Is something like this possible with dual monitors?

I'v never had dual monitors before, and I'm curious if something like this would be possible. My friends computer can't run this game very well. Would it be possible to use dual monitors, and have 2 copies of the game opened, 1 running on 1 screen, and 1 running on the other screen, and have a different keyboard and mouse for each screen? I'm pretty sure you can have multiple copies of the game open with ISBoxer, I'm just curious about the keyboard/mouse thing.

You can't have more than one instance running.

    Would getting ISBoxer work?

    EDIT: Okay yeah.

"Launching multiple instances of Star Wars: The Old Republic on the same PC is not normally possible. However, ISBoxer makes launching multiple copies of SWTOR possible"

So yeah. Is this possible to do with 2 monitors?

with WoW you can have as many copies as you like.

but as with any operating system, you can only have one app take commands at a time. one window active.

dual monitors does nothing for that fact, all it does is give you more screen real estate.

no idea if ISBoxer helps with that.

I think the only problem is the multiple input devices, multiboxing software usually just takes the commands from one keyboard and then sends that command to all instances of the game running. Though i don't know, haven't multiboxed myself.

I've never heard of that before and as others have said, Windows only likes to have one active program to get all the input. Unless that app or another one can seperate two sets of input and windows, I say you screwed. And you also have to make sure that your PC could even handle it.

Ask and you shall recieve, my son!

DicoLab has a piece of software called TeamPlayer (30 day free trial available) that allows you to use multiple mice and keyboard on the same system. Shit's pricey, but software of this type does exist.

http://www.hidmacros.eu/ Has a free piece of software that can sense the difference between 2 two keyboards attached to one computer, so you plug two keyboards in, then set up keybindings for stuff that way I believe. Naturely, it was developed for flight sim nerds, god bless them. If you can find a free program to do multiple mice then, I'd say you're golden.

Well you would need multiple accounts for a start.

Which is why I said my friends computer can't run it very well. He bought it, is subscribed, but he gets like 13 FPS everywhere.

With two accounts with at least one copy running in a virtual machine you can. It would probably negate the expected performance increase you were trying to accomplish though. That and you would have a problem with only being able to use one interface at a time.

It would be much easier just to address the problem with your friend's computer.
