Not to interrupt the Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory demonstration here, but I'm pretty sure MMOs in general don't let you activate your account without a valid payment method.

If the game's registered, then it's been activated, which makes all of this is a non-issue and your claims misleading. The account doesn't need to have an active subscription for it to be considered active, it only needs to have subscription time on it. The moment the game got registered, the account got the 30 days and started counting down. That's how all MMOs work.

It's still a fucking bullshit way of draining people's free game time that they should be way more clear about. Not everyone who play MMOs, let alone games in general, is well versed in this stuff, and it's EA's fault for not making this explicit when people create their accounts. Stop defending this shit and acting like it's not fucking awful, because it is.

If you think it's bullshit, then great! Speak against it, start a boycott, do whatever you want. But to single out EA as if this practice started with them is just plain stupid.
