Idra, as Brad described "a giant cock", won the Tournament. He seemed pretty quiet so, he probably only bitches online.

Idra wins MLG DC Starcraft 2 Tournament
" Idra doesn't bitch as much as people say. He did just wipe the floor with everyone, so at least he can back up the shit he talks. "This pretty much. He deserved it, completely owned select in that last game.
Were they playing on the new patch or before this recent patch? That will make a big difference on what my comment would be.
If it was with the new patch, my comment will be: "Now he's going to say that thanks to the patch, the game is finally balanced for Zerg".
If it was before the new patch, my comment will be: "Muthafucker needs to shut the fuck now."
No, just no. I love how for some reason everyone thinks Idra is some complete and utter dick even though he clearly isnt. He used to be when he was a little teenager and playing Brood War, but now he is much much better in front of the camera and with sportsmanship. It's like all these people that didnt follow Brood War at all are getting into the game and the only way they know Idra is "That's that kid who is a complete asshole a right" even though they know nothing about how he actually acts now. The only people he talks shit against anymore is people that talk shit first, for instance Silver and Drewbie who are even bigger douches than Idra is incorrectly know to be. He gives people credit where credit is due and yeah, he can be pretty cocky sometimes but he deserves to be because he is by far the best North American to ever play Starcraft or Starcraft 2.
On a side note, I feel like the game is super super balanced right now after these last few patches. Watching all these games I feel like the best players won and no matter what race you were playing you still had a great chance to win. I felt like there wasnt nearly as much stupid bull shit going on, and people were just straight up out playing an opponent, or getting out played. It was really exciting to see Select dominate so many good players, Idra clean house the whole way to victory, and the great mothership rush from Huk. Although these werent the best players in the entire world, it was great to see what the North Americans are made of. I will say though that this tournament really exposes how fucking insane Korea is at this game. Idra lost in the second round of the GSL to a dude that isnt considered to be among the tip top best in Korea, but yet he comes in here to MLG and just destroys everyone. It's actually kinda scary lol.
Doesn't Idra live in Korea so he counts as Korean or something? i could be wrong
Also, I like Idra, however he still rages a lot, maybe it's just when he plays online
Because in one replay I saw with him he raged a lot
Not swearing but lots of insulting the other player
Also for all his cockiness he's one of the few who can back it up
" Idra, as Brad described "a giant cock", won the Tournament. He seemed pretty quiet so, he probably only bitches online. "Maybe it's the people who lost to him projecting their own insecurities onto him for lack of effort on their part. Or maybe I just don't really recognize the "pro gaming" scene like I should.
Come to think of it, this being in DC I guess I coulda gone, but didn't feel like driving a couple hours just to watch people play vidya games. Maybe another time when my skills have gotten better than weaksauce I will enter one of these tournaments, but maybe that day I will have more disposable income to toss away on crazy tournaments like so.
Idra got sanctions against him in several different leagues, so he's cut back a lot on his cheeky comments recently. I actually really like watching IdrA games, because as a zerg player it gives me something to look to emulate. He's just a really great macro player, and I imagine now that terran harass and extreme turtling has been toned down, he'll be a lot stronger player.
Idra's a bitch. Crying all the time about how he plays the "hardest race in the game" and asking Terran players to "apologize for playing that race". Also, in his post match interview he insulted every Terran player except qxc and SeleCT. SeleCT, I feel, would have won that match based on his performance earlier, but his decision making changed completely in that set against Idra; It was like watching a different player.
Okay, I am officially never posting about Starcraft on Giant Bomb again. Very few if anyone on here knows anything about this game or the competitive scene. It's just embarrassing reading some of these posts by people talking about Idra.

No one thinks for themselves they just take what Brad says or what Husky said.

"No he didn't. I watched that video and he was talking about all the good terran people HE PLAYED. all the others he played were protoss or zerg.
And Select did the same 1 reaper harass into MM play, taking an expansion, then going into MMM constant harass. it's just that IdrA is used to dealing with that(he faced it earlier during QXC) and had a specific gameplan to deal with it.

" @DoctorWelch said:And Brad is basing his opinion off of what idiots on TL say and what he did in one match during the beta versus someone...think it was Morrow? But he really stepped up his game and acted really professionally, no more BM out of him really. Yeah he talks about imbalance but so does every other player in the game, it's just that IdrA isn't afraid to speak his mind. Pretty much all of the things he says are true (few Zerg options/supposed to be adaptive, yet HAVE to scout because they don't have a good all-around tier 1 unit, like a marine or stalker, and the Terrans in particular have so many options (MMM, tank-marine, Hellion-Thor, Banshee harass, etc.) that are hard for Zerg to deal with." " @LeetBalla said:I don't think anyone can really make a definitive judgement of a player based on a half-second message during the final round of a tournament. As for SelecT's play though, I definitely noticed a change in one of the games. He dropped everything that had worked earlier for a weak marine-tank play which never actually seems to work in any high-level games I've seen, and unsurprisingly it got slaughtered." Idra's a bitch. " @Skytylz: yes and he lost in Ro32 to some korean 2-1. First loss due to void rays, 2nd loss bc of bad scouting. Hes back in GSL 2 tho thats about to start this monday, I think he will get further this time due to the recent patch buffing zerg. "and because he won't be able to watch his opponents build orders and assume that that's what he's going to do, lol.

" @DystopiaX said:That's because he was playing Protoss and Terran, and his Zerg strat is probably different because IdrA's very good at defending bio balls (he's got a lot of practice). Muta/ling/baneline are very good, as well as infestors once you get to midgame. Most players have seperate strats for each race, and like SelecT said, he doesn't have anyone good to practice against Zerg with, since the Korean and NA zerg are worlds apart." @LeetBalla said:I don't think anyone can really make a definitive judgement of a player based on a half-second message during the final round of a tournament. By the way, the placements. The ones with dashes (7-8, etc.) means that they have to play placement rounds for exact placings:

totally stole this off the user "BraveGhost" on teamliquid. Assuming his brackets are right...Nice to see Torch (white guy who qualified GSL) still playing competitively, as well as Nony (tyler), Slush, and a bunch of non-invite players make it. Thought IncontroL would've done better (if anyone watched the stream, he was the freaking huge dude), since he played BW and really knows his shit.

Well that's how I interpreted your post anyway.
Also go make a video on youtube and tell everyone to leave Idra alone!
and yhhh Idra dominated :O

Yeah, you telling everyone your opinion on someone is far superior to everyone elses really contributed to the discussion nicely. I don't really care about the pros opinions either because they're just as biased as anyone else. You might of noticed I didn't actually state my opinion of Idra, I just took the piss out of you. Personally I'd rather talk about the game and only care about the pros when they play a good game.
Anyway I thought you were offically never posting about Starcraft again on Giantbomb? Or was that just for attention? Well done you queer little drama queen.
" If Idra played less starcraft than I did and beat me I'd be impressed. But dudes been practicing all day every day for 12 years. And still isn't the best in the world. That to me is wrong. It says to me that he is a naturally untalented player. "No, it means that all the other pros have also been playing all day every day for 12 years. All the people he got beat by in Korea are former BW pros or grew up watching, learning, and playing BW. There's no shame in losing to Koreans. Fruitdealer, Checkprime, and other top zergs all agree that IdrA is as good as he is.

Idra seemed quite mild mannered when he was winning, I'd bet it would be a much different story had he lost.
" @DoctorWelch said:Stop trolling around twisting what I, and probably others, say to somehow condone your stupid trolling. You obviously have not understood anything I have said so far. As you should be able to see, I am no longer talking specifically about Starcraft, but I dont expect you to comprehend that. I've twisted nothing. Show one part where I took your words out of context. I even said I was taking the piss out of you in my second post if it wasn't clear enough in the first place. Also your right, I don't understand how your opinion on someone is better than everyone elses. It doesn't help that you've gave no evidence what so ever to back this up.
Anyway where wern't you talking about Starcraft?
To be honest the only way I'm sure your directing your posts at me is your quoting me. You kind of wounder off the arguement fairly quick.
