They delayed it to much for my tastes. Then saying that each race will have a septate disk?....so we gotta wait another year for Zerg? Then another for Protoss? Then pay full price for them....no thanks. Not till its cheaper.
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

The first chapter in the StarCraft II trilogy focuses on the struggles of the Terran race, as seen through the eyes of Commander Jim Raynor, leader of the rebel group Raynor's Raiders.
Will you be buying Starcraft 2?
I've never played an RTS properly but I want this to be the one, I'm on the verge of getting the Collectors edition.
It's £60 though =(
I don't think I'll get it for the same reason I didn't pick up Street Fighter IV. It requires more practice and research to be competitive than I have the time or patience for. Not that that's a bad thing, though. I have a lot of respect for people who dedicate themselves to deep games like this.
Maybe at some point. It's a Blizzard game, so it will never go on sale for less than $40. And only that low once the other expansions have come out.
I definitely won't be playing the multiplayer. So I'll be trying out the singleplayer via one method or another since they won't release a singleplayer demo. And that experience will determine if I want to buy it or not.
why are there so many retards that worship day9?
sc2 is a joke of a game with less features than warcraft 3... so no, i wont buy it. especially when it costs more, and has been split into 3 games.
Imagine if any other game did that... its absurd and still cant believe it is real.
I was kinda excited for it initially, but then once the beta released and I messed around with it, I realized I don't really like StarCraft that much. It's a game I like in theory but not in practice. I've become pretty disinterested with it in the past few months, enough to firmly say that I won't be buying it in the foreseeable future. Maybe I'll pick up the inevitable Battle Chest when it's released, just to mess with the campaigns.
been fooling around with the beta since it released and can say between this and warcraft 3 I dont see my xbox 360 getting much love in the foreseeable future
As a beginner to Starcraft, I'm mildly interested in the single player and the editor but the multiplayer scares me. I'll probably get it some time before Christmas to see what people have made with the editing tools.
I know its going to be great, but i also know that i will never be able to compete on any level online. So yeah, i'm going to wait for a price drop (few years probably) or a sale since i'm only going to touch the single player.
Didn't have much of an interest in it thus far, since I never played the original Starcraft at its time (just waaay later and it wasn't attractive enough to suck me in then). But it's a brandnew Blizzard retail release and my experiences with these always were very possitive. I'm getting more excited for it by the day.
Also looking forward to all the mods and whatnot too. The modding scene is gonna be off the hook for SC2.
Yes. I'll be playing it as well via one method or another as it were and decide then. The fact it's costing more than a regular PC game would is what's making me hold off. Why is it costing more? I see nothing about it that justifies the rise in price it just seems like greed. So I'll aquire it, play it and then decide if it's worth the extra amount on top." Maybe at some point. It's a Blizzard game, so it will never go on sale for less than $40. And only that low once the other expansions have come out.

The multiplayer isn't much of a factor to me because I suck at it.
Heres the "specials" that he made to share some strategies by other solid players.

I couldn't find any help on the other races as specific as this but many are in some ways as these are.
Edit: Wth, it says I replied to myself..
If I can make it two weeks after release I will be able to pass on it. I may wait for a "Battle Chest" version. And by then I won't care at all anymore. SO, Maybe at some point.
I have been trying to play Warcraft III, to assuage my temptation and I just can't get in to it. I think I am done with RTS.
So I am opting for Diablo II. Again. Love that game.
was intending to buy it day one, but I managed to spend all my money and owe my girlfriend £50 so it might have to wait until my finances are in better shape, but I certainly intend to purchase it as soon as I can.
Nah, I was in the beta and unless they develop a better matching system I am never going to even think about Starcraft 2. I played just over forty matches and won one of them. I am no longer interested in buying any game where I have to spend two hundred hours in game, and another hundred hours watching youtube / reading gamefaqs just to be able to play a game.
" We should have a poll option of, "Though I admire Blizzard, I won't support Activision monetarily for obvious reasons". "wow, game politics, it's just business I don't see anything wrong with supporting any of the publishers if you like their game, isn't that how good game continue to be made? By buying them?! Regardless of the publisher they will notice if you buy good games and that encourages them to make more. btw I realize I just said I wasn't gonna buy this game but my reasoning was that I would suck at online.
maybe at some point if my nerd friends have a lan or something that involves starcraft. idk, i've never been in to strategy games before, maybe this is my chance to try them out.
Having already pre-ordered the game, it's kinda a foregone conclusion for me. I WILL have it.
Interesting Fact: New Zealand is the first place in the world to get the game, thanks to the wonders of Time Zones. MUAHAHAHAHA! I've got at least 3 hours on those Australians, and a solid 16 or so on the US.
That'll give me a bit of practice time before the Koreans arrive...
