    Overview

Startling Odyssey 1: Blue Evolution is a remake of a traditional role-playing game that was originally released on the PC-Engine CD in 1993. RayForce, who had developed the previous entries in the series, created the title and published it for the PlayStation in Japan on July 15, 1999. The game's presentation was complete redone from the original's, animated cut-scenes were added, and a new isomeric battle system was implemented.

Blue Evolution was going to be the beginning of an announced trilogy of Startling Odyssey games to be released on the PlayStation. The second part was going to be a remake of Startling Odyssey II and the third part would have been a new game in the series subtitled "Miriam no Seisen." Unfortunately both titles were canceled and StarForce never released another game.
