So I never played an assassin's creed game, and since the second seems to be vastly superior to 1 and it's on sale - Should I make this jump into assassin's creed to possibly get me prepped for the PC port of brotherhood? ;o

Obviously. It is vastly superior to the first one, no doubt about it. If you could play it before ACII, you'd appreciate a lot more the upgrades of the sequel, but still, even if it's your first AC game, you'll love it. Story-wise, just look at a playthrough in YouTube if you want to know exactly what happened in the first, but I guess the brief intro they give you at the start of the game should be enough to fill you in in the basic plot of the series.

If your PC can run it, then you should definitely get it. It's great.

Just remember that the PC version has Ubisoft's notorious DRM that requires a constant internet connection.

Sounds annoying, then again I think the last time my PC was off the internet was 4 years ago when we changed the ancient router.

As much as I love the original the second is vastly superior.

This game was easily my favourite game of last year (even though technically I didn't finish it till this year.) Story was the best and I loved Ezio. Italia!
