A digital distribution service owned by Valve Corporation. Originally created to distribute Valve's own games, Steam has since become the de facto standard for digital distribution of PC games.
Mah daiz new salez! See... I would buy New Vegas, cause it is pretty cheap but... It's only £15 in stores atm so Steam is still more expensive.
Also Torchlight £3, what a stealllll (if I didn't already have it). CS:S is something I have been meaning to pick up... Hmm... Steam you already got me once so far, you might just have done it again!
None of the deals today are particularly great. Anyone looking for Borderlands in the UK can get the GOTY version from Amazon, it's cheaper than what Steam is charging for the regular. Ditto for New Vegas, even the console versions are cheaper for both of these.
Though I'd highly recommend Torchlight and Sam & Max to anyone who hasn't already played them. Saints Row 2 is good, if you're looking for a fun sandbox game. Much better than GTAIV was, in my opinion.
