Steam are currently betaing their new local currency system for the pound and the euro. Definitely makes steam a better prospect for UK and European people. Things are working out cheaper too. L4D was $49.99, which is roughly £33, yet it's £26.99 on the store. According to people on the steam board there seems to be problems with the euro prices at the moment, but that's why it's a beta.

Yeah. The only downside is that when the $ - £ exchange rate is good we don't get completely kick ass deals, but overall its a good update."
