Steam - Black Friday Deals - What do you want to see?
Not quite sure what good deals we'll see this year, but I'd love to see price drops on
Hegemony: Philip of Macedon
I can't think of AAA games that came out 1-3 years ago that have mostly been full price till now. I'm curious to see what we'll have in terms of deals.
What are you guys looking for?
I hope it's nothing but games I already own or really don't want to play. Since I always end up spending way too much on tons of games I don't have time to play.
I'm sure whatever they put on sale I will buy. But I'd like the original DoW games for cheap, since I already have them in boxes. BOXES, how quaint.
Civ 5 for cheap (won't happen)
Dead Space for a bargain (already played it, just want it for Steam)
Borderlands?
Basicly anything worthwhile for less than 4 euros.
" Black Ops for cheap. "I don't think Modern Warfare 2 has even been on sale on Steam, has it?
Dead Rising 2 and Darksiders are the two that I'm actively waiting for sales from. I'm sure they could get me to buy more games I'm only marginally interested in if they put them on sale.
" @KaosAngel said:It has, but the lowest I remember is 15% off (so $51, lol.)." Black Ops for cheap. "I don't think Modern Warfare 2 has even been on sale on Steam, has it? "
" @AlisterCat said:Yeah, they had two free weekends IIRC. First one was 10% off and second one was 15% off. One of them coincided with a map pack release and I feel like the other was right before a competing shooter came out." @KaosAngel said:I think it was during the free weekend thing for it "" Black Ops for cheap. More awesomely cheep new releases on Amazon.com. I got many month old games for half price last year.
Edit: OHHH. Steam Black Friday. My bad.
In any case, if something is £3 or less I am likely to buy it. I haven't spent more than £5 on a steam game I don't think.
I have WAY too many games on Steam/ my computer that I still need to play, not to mention that my backlog of PS3/360 games is horrendous now.
Still, I wouldn't mind seeing Fallout New Vegas, Sam & Max Season 3, Aliens vs. Predator, Dead Space, Bad Company 2, and a handful of other PC games for cheap.
EDIT: Also, I hope Mount & Blade: Warband goes on sale for SUPER cheap. Like $5 or less cheap so all you lovely people can buy it and we can play multiplayer because that game is kinda janky but all sorts of awesome online.
I was waiting on Dawn of War II to go on sale which it already has which I immediately grabbed up. I think Origina on a good sale would get a buy out of me, along with a good Online FPS like Bad Company or Black Ops.That was supposed to say Dragon Age Origins. Dumb iPhone correction thing.

the Witcher, wanted to play it for a long time but only recently upgraded my computer to the point where it can run it smoothly. Thought about buying the disc version for £10 a while back but really hoping it goes back up on Steam for a reasoanble price so I don't have to worry about discs and everything.
I'd consider getting any other decent titles that go up for cheap, I bought loads last year.

"This may be a bit off-topic, but if you're interested in DR2, you can get it for €14 (~$16, I guess) at G2Play. You'll be buying the original, scanned CD-Key, but since you'll be able to download GFWL from your account in the near future, you'll be able to register that CD-Key and link it to your GFWL account. You won't be able to play on Steam, but if you ask me, having two DRM systems at the same time is a tiny bit redundant :P

Just to clarify for anyone else, it's $19.04, though it's currently out of stock.
"An Optimist :PI'm looking for black ops, mafia 2 and fallout vegas with any sort of discount will be nice.
"
" Is this US thing only? If not then... Oblivion - 5 euro or less FEAR 2 - 5 euro or less Dead Space - 5 euro or less Fallout 3 - 10 euro or less Batman: AA - 10 euro or less Street Fighter 4 - 10 euro or less RE 5 - 5 euro or less "Arkham Asylum was on sale for $13 a couple weeks ago. Is that less than 10 Euros? Might've missed your chance.
I've always wanted a Bioware bundle with Mass Effect 1 & 2, Dragon Age Origins, KOTOR, MDK and Jade Empire plus all the DLCs. I have DA:O and Kotor already, but I'd buy such a collection if priced reasonable just to get the MEs, MDK, JE and the DLC stuff.
Also a bundle collecting all their recent download-only shooters. They recently paired two for cheap (that Western shooter and a space FPS), but I want it to include as many as they can together.
Finally, I hope for a Crysis collection since I missed picking that up last year when it was on sale.

"BioWare doesn't sell their DLC through Steam, so your only hope there would be if they put out a "GOTY-Edition"-type release with all the DLCs included and they put it on Steam.
" @ajamafalous: Aw, that sucks. The DAO stuff is in the new "Ultimate Edition" but it's the ME stuff I am interested in. "Yeah, figured it was the ME DLC you were talking about. Unfortunately there's no GOTY/Ultimate Edition on Steam yet, but maybe there will be soon. Perhaps coinciding with the ME2 PS3 release?
