So the Steam summer sale has just started.

Each year I get so excited and worried for the Steam summer sale! Excited for all the games I'm going to play and worried for my wallet. Ahhh my poor poor wallet.

So what games are you guys and galls going to be buying in the sale?

Hotline Miami is on my grab list. Good thing it's up there right out of the gate. Now if only the store was working...

Steam servers are seriously getting pummeled.

Ye steam server issues are getting in the way of me losing all my money!

I need to go put some money into my bank, hopefully by the time I get back I can get into the store.

Man I want to get Don't Starve, FTL and Rogue Legacy . which are all on sale now ...But I am not sure If I should risk it and wait and see if they get added to the Flash Sale to get a bit more of a discount. I only have a 25 Dollar Limit :(

I've been waiting for a good opportunity to pick up Skyrim for the PC, so getting the Legendary Edition for $36 was pretty attractive to me.

In my experience, the store usually becomes a bit more stable later in the day.

Nothing so far today.

Maybe the flash sale stuff will bring something today.

All 3 of the games you mentioned are hot enough indie games that I guarantee they fit into the scenario I just described. Don't Starve is a Daily Deal right now, which means the 40% off is probably the best you're going to do for the entire sale. So if you really want it within the next week or two, now is pretty much the time to get it. Even though it's been in alpha/beta forever, it technically was only "released" a couple months ago, which is why the discount isn't that huge. Same thing will happen with Rogue Legacy, I expect.

Either way, I suggest waiting until Rogue Legacy and FTL become a Daily Deal/Flash Sale.

@keres: Yup Iv been thinking about getting Skyrim on PC for a while now and the price is really good. Only thing is I own it on PS3 without any of the DLC, but I'v seen loads of the mods and that's whats making me want to buy it in the sale.

Im hoping that the RPG Maker pack will get a pretty nice discount, I believe that title is usually priced at 60$ or more. Not at home right now but will be checking to see how sale progresses when I get in this evening.

Defiance at $13.60 is the lowest I've seen it, but at the rate that game's dropping I'm worried the servers won't be up for much longer. I had a surprising amount of fun with it during the free weekend though, so I'm probably going to pick it up. Anti-chamber at $6.80 is also a pretty good deal.

@winsord: You would be surprised with how long a game can last on a fraction of people.

Yeah the servers are a mess but when everything is working properly I'm going to pick up Scribblenauts Unlimited, Hotline Miami along with the soundtrack, and Company of Heroes.

Will Call Of Juarez : Gunslinger drop below -33% later, or should I just go for it at $10?

Also, vote for Borderlands 2, though I'm pretty sure both FarCry 3 and Dishonored are better games (played both, they rule).

Damn servers, If Steam was a real retail store, id start clubbing people in the head to get my shit like it was boxing day/black friday

Gonna pick up Bioshock, Hotline Miami and gunslinger if i can ever complete an order, might have to wait awhile for the crowd to die down, or might wait to see if the prices drop lower then they are now.

That's a good point, I know the last summer sale had a number of titles that were further discounted during flash sales. Hopefully the good ones drop down further when servers aren't getting absolutley hammered though.

I'm going to go ahead and lock this down, since this other thread was created just a couple of minutes before yours.
