I've been staring at BC 2 for ages, I'd be stupid not to at that price! I'd hold off on the downloading though, I suspect that Steams' traffic will be through the roof all the way to the 2nd of Jan when the sales end.

Edit: Admittedly I played it on 360, maybe it's a magnificent tour-de-force of gaming pleasure on PC. I doubt it though.

RPG lovers get Gothic Universe Edition and Titan Quest Gold Pack All the Prince of Persia games are on sale and the Hitman Collection today is a good day the Indie Kid Pack is real good as well as pretty much all the indie packs
I am going to try to do this rationally. So, for today, I'll get Super Meat Boy, Titan Quest Gold Edition and the Deus Ex collection. Those are the daily ones so I'll get them first. I don't wanna buy something today that is at 50% and then see it tomorrow at 75%. And I'll get Winterbottom, because, really, that won't definitely go down. The Indie 2D pack is looking good, but I got until the 2nd of Jan to buy it. I also have Fear 2 and Sherlock Holmes Awakened Remastered in my cart. Waiting to see if those go any down. I really don't need to have a digital version of Fear to add to my physical copy of Fear, so I'll pass the Fear Pack. Red Faction Guerrila is also in the lookout, but for now, it's still at the same price that I can get a physical copy so I'll wait.

It's a bunch of REALLY quality maps, plus guns, vehicles etc. and EVERYTHING gets changed to the Vietnam war, I don't think it'll go on sale until next year, but just get dude.

So far I got Super Meat boy and Mass Effect 2 (finally!), which is a lot for me because usually I don't buy anything at these sales :P. Can't wait for more sales!
Just Super Meat Boy for me today. I'm just gonna buy from the daily deals selection and buy the rest on the last day. I've been adding money to my steam wallet for months, I have no hurry to burn it all on day one.
At this stage I buy shit in the steam sales I know I wont ever play. I have games from sales 2 years ago I have zero intention of ever installing. Steam holiday sales have exponentially increased my game hoarding..
My strategy for these sales is not to buy anything except the daily deals until the last day of the sale because something you may buy might be even cheaper in a daily deal. The one exception is PB Winterbottom which was 50 cents.
So far: I bought Fear complete, Super Meat Boy (even though I own it on 360), and Oddbox.
I'm not interested in Lego Batman and F1 and I own everything else.
That's another thing, it's both a nice thing about these sales is that I'm getting to a point where I own almost everything I would want so the cost is minimal.
I ended up picking up The Oddboxx which should keep my happy since all I've been playing on it is Reccetear on it. Re-playing the first two should be fun, never got around to Strangers Wrath either.

Though this is no HUGE piece of charity and I'm not rolling in funds right now... I just paid a little holiday cheer forward by picking a few random folks on my Steam list from GB to receive PB WInterbottom. One had sent me a gift a few weeks ago and the other had it on his wishlist... truthfully - it's FORTY NINE CENTS! If you have a GBer on your list, think about handing them a pretty fun title for less than half a buck. Seems like a good idea if you're able, really a ridiculous deal.

Having the same dilemma - then again, I played through BF:BC2 pretty extensively on release so I'm likely to be tired of the maps by now so maybe a change of scenery might be worth it.
Then again, from what I can tell, it is mainly just a bunch of maps and a reskin of weapons/vehicles. Seems pretty extensive though so I think the pricepoint is justified. It's certainly more than a map pack, if not quite an expansion.
So far the only AAA game title I bought was Bad Company 2 since it was so cheap. Besides that I've been buying these random indie RPG games like Depths of Peril and Space Rangers 2.
