not content with raping our wallets every weekend and midweek, Valve has announced today that they will now have DAILY deals, starting today. Aparently forever... ouch.
"Announcement - Valve
Starting today, Steam offers a new 24-hour deal, every single day. Look for the deals each day on the front page of Steam. Or follow us on twitter or Facebook for instant notifications wherever you are!
Today's Deal: Save 75% off Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising!
I'll admit that it is a little exciting every time the midweek or weekend deal rolls in, if only to see if its something you've been waiting for, and it seems we can expect that every day now. I think this is awesome, but i like to waste money. One assumes that big summer and holiday sales will continue tho

Steam's plan to take over the world continues...
Goddammit, Steam. Every time I think I'm out, you pull me back in.
Fuck you Valve. Destroying my wallet during the Christmas sale isn't enough? Now you want to attempt it on a daily basis?
@PrimeSynergy said:Damn right. And before I know it, I'll have a room in my house dedicated to drives holding my Steam collection full of titles I'm never going to play.Fuck you Valve. Destroying my wallet during the Christmas sale isn't enough? Now you want to attempt it on a daily basis?ready to go "its 5 bucks /shrug" every day now?
......And thus the great apocalypse was heralded by pizza and cookies coming in the same box, and steam sales everyday...
Goddammit, Steam. Every time I think I'm out, you pull me back in.I don't have the money to spare, or the will-power to refuse.
That's terrible Video_Game_King, but I guess it's not your fault.
Yes, it is. I am a lazy asshole who will take advantage of anybody nearby. How do you think I became King?
I kid, I kid. You became king by snagging the username first, of course.
It's more the former than the latter. Besides, I blog about games people care about. Remember my last blog, where people got pissed over how I spoiled a mediocre game?
This is too much. What will they do to surprise us in the future? 95% weekend?Sell us our own souls.
You watched the video of Elmer Fudd fucking a sandwich, but you didn't read the text immediately before it? The hell?
I like the fact of Daily Deals but the actual placement of where they show is horrible.
@PrimeSynergy said:You have just perfectly described my life.Fuck you Valve. Destroying my wallet during the Christmas sale isn't enough? Now you want to attempt it on a daily basis?ready to go "its 5 bucks /shrug" every day now?
@Video_Game_King: Not all of it, in fact those videos are why I even bother clicking on your blog. Sorry if I burst your bubble, I'm just not particularly interested in that Digital Love Story thing, and I'm not particularly interested in having it spoiled in case I do ever want to play it.
I'd ask why you'd ever want to play that game, but I feel like I'm derailing this thread.
@Leafhopper: That is part of their evil plan! If you don't scroll down, you won't see the sale! If you do scroll down, you'll see everything else!Holy crap you are right. Gabe you glorious genius.
I'm definitely in the camp that owns just about every game on Steam that I'm interested in, but this still excites me! The future awaits!
