Day 3. Fuck day 3. So if you read my day 1 entry you've seen I bought bully. Wasn't this a daily deal? Did I really make that mistake day 1? UGH.
So I already own Just Cause 2, Tales of Monkey Island and Recettear.
Assassin's Creed and Modern Warfare are too expensive. I can get them cheaper at the store down town.
Spore? A game ruined by EA. Yes EA because I don't believe Will Wright thinks we're all idiots.
If trains are your thing I guess Railworks 2 is appealing?
See you guys tomorrow. I'm going to play some expensive Bully.

The crazy days of Steam holiday sale! Day 3

I hate how they say each day is a new bunch of sales. So far, each day has had mostly the same games on sale for slightly altered prices. I think last year's sale was way better.
I've been sort of bummed out by the deals thus far as they haven't been good enough to pull the trigger on almost anything. I've only put down the $1.50 on Puzzle Quest yesterday and I'm hoping things change in the coming week.
" @Leptok: Haha such is the power of Steam. Let me know if you like it ;-).Damn, me and the son spent like an hour riding around.
@sodiumCyclops: Yeah that's kind of lame, especially to those unaware and who bought those games on day 1.
@nick_verissimo: Any specific game you're hoping for? "
I really can't recommend Trials 2 enough at $2.50. It's actually one of my favorite games, despite the relative simplicity and obscurity (outside of its relation to Trials HD) of it. I've never played a game in which honing my skill through practice and effort felt so natural and consistent as in Trials 2. Between that and the really great leaderboard system, it's easily the most rewarding game I've ever played.
Picked up Railworks, because I'm STUPID. Also picked up Recettear, as I had been waiting for just this moment to grab it.
I think this sale's been pretty good. The constant stuff is solid, and the daily deals are good. Remember, daily deals go well through next week, so there's plenty of time for stuff you really want to come up on sale.
I'm just with the GB crew in that I'm starting to fill out my list of all the stuff I want and kinda want. Especially since I don't play RTSs and FPSs, 60% of steam deals aren't for me. But hell, that's okay. I don't need to be spending loads of money EVERY DAY.
@HarlequinRiot:
No, the keyboard controls are excellent, though you can use a gamepad if you want, and there are players that prefer it. Most of the top players, though, will tell you that the arrow key bike controls are much more capable at the high level than a gamepad, as a player that can learn to feather the arrow keys to lean properly in any situation can do so more precisely and quickly than with an analogue stick.
