I think all in all, I ended up almost doubling my Steam account. Here they are, in chronological order no less!

I also got both Humble Indie Bundles (10 steam games) and Just Cause 2 on sale for like $7.50 right before the holiday sales officially started.

    Games/PacksPrice
     VVVVVV $2.50
Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale  $6.80
     Batman: Arkham Asylum $7.50
Secret of Monkey Island SE + Monkey Island 2 SE Pack $3.75
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom $0.50
     Blueberry Garden $0.99
Ben There, Dan That! + Time Gentlemen, Please! Pack $2.50
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic$2.50
King's Bounty Platinum Edition (KB: The Legend, KB: Armored Princess, KB: Crossworlds)$8.75
     Greed Corp$2.50
     Amnesia: The Dark Descent$10.00
     Left 4 Dead 2$6.80
Indie Mix Pack (Darwinia, DEFCON, Cogs, Eufloria, Plain Sight)$5.00
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat + S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Pack$5.00
    Zeno Clash $3.75
Indie Fright Pack (The Path, The Void, The Scourge Project, Burn Zombie Burn!, Zombie Driver) $5.00

    TOTAL $74.85 / 29 games
Average price per game$2.58 / game

I highly recommend Recettear, Greed Corp, Amnesia, and Darwinia (though it's better on XBLA). Most of the other stuff I haven't gotten around to playing yet :P

    I got:

    PB Winterbottom
    Monkey Island Special Edition Pack
    Machinarium

Didn't buy very much, but I'm trying to be realistic as to what I will actually play. Overall, I wasn't too tempted by anything. I probably should have bought Mass Effect 2 for $10, but I don't mind waiting for the price to drop again. I thought about Bad Company 2 at $7, but I figure for multiplayer I'm probably just gonna reach for Counter Strike when it's time to shoot people, and I hear the SP isn't all that.

    Managed to restrict myself to:

    Crysis
    Crysis Warhead
    Star Wars KOTOR
    The Witcher

And I think that was it. I almost got VVVVVV but changed my mind. The Witcher and KOTOR should keep me busy for a while hopefully!

Oh and of course big shoutout to infamousBig for being awesome and giving so many people the Humble Indie Bundle #2! True Christmas spirit there!

46 games during the holidays, 55 total last year.  The only game I bought right when it came out was Civ V, so setting that aside and looking at the other 54 games, I spent around US$103 this year.  That's US$1.90 a game, which kinda makes me feel better about buying that many games.

    Game

    Batman : AA - a steal for a GOTY @ £3.75
    BIT.TRIP.BEAT - £3.49
Crysis, Crysis Warhead , Crysis Wars - £6.24
    Graviton 2 - £0.74
    Greed Corp - £2.00
    IL-2 Sturmovick : 1946  - £4.99
    Magnetis - £0.37
    Winterbottom - £0.39
    Serious Sam 1 & 2 pack - £2.99
    Shattered Union - £0.29
Super Meat Boy - Gifted, yay!
Supreme Commander 2 - a bit dumbed down after the first one I'm told, but it wasn't expensive @ £2.49
Supreme Commander 2 IW Battle pack - £1.74
    Swarm Arena - £1.87
    Toki Tori - £0.87
    Tropico 3 + Expansion Absolute Power - £6.00
    Turba - £1.75
    VVVVVV - £1.99
X: Beyond The Frontier and X: Tension pack - £2.38
    Zen Bound 2 - £1.74

For a grand total of £46.08. I don't know whether we're including expansion packs as separate things so the
average price is uncertain, but I think I did ok.

A different spin on the question could be "how much is it costing in terms of bandwidth?". I think I'd use up ours for the month
if I downloaded that lot during the day - it's free overnight, but if I did it during the day that would use over 50GB. Just 10GB
short of our monthly limit. I would not be a popular person :( To be honest I think some of the expansion packs re-use the
same files, so it's probably a bit less.
