Stig Asmussen
Stig Asmussen is one of the core artists behind the God of War franchise and was director of God of War III.
Stig Asmussen graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a degree in Communication Arts Multi Media (or computer animation) in 1998. He got his first job in the industry working for Midway as a Level Artist on Gauntlet: Dark Legacy and Dr. Mudo. After the mass layoffs that hit its San Jose studio, he quickly found a job at Sony Studio Santa Monica as an Environmental Art Lead on God of War, still relatively early in development. He would continue working as an artistic director on the God of War series until he was given a chance to become director on God of War III after Cory Barlog's departure in 2007.
