    Usually the room before a boss battle, filled with ammo, health and other goodies for players to stock up on.

    This room can come in many forms:

    • A completely empty room filled with crates or boxes to be broken or opened. These containers contain pickups such as health or ammo.
    • A room with some easily killed enemies, that will drop pick-ups such as health or ammo.
    • A room with a shop. From this shop any items that may be needed can be purchased. Whether it be health potions, armor, ammo, or magic potions.

    It is also common in some tougher games to place a save point / check point in this room, meaning that players will not have to backtrack through a series of levels to get to the boss again.
