    Initially named Beyond Software (from 1991 to 1993), Stormfront Studios was founded in 1988 by Don Daglow of former Broderbund software fame. Their most successful releases included the Dungeons & Dragons-based RPG Stronghold, the well-received action game The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (based on the first two films), the edutainment adventure series Eagle Eye mysteries, and several of the NASCAR games published by EA,

    The company closed on March 31st, 2008, after failing to secure a publisher for its internal project.
