I have only played SFA3Max, I was wondering if there are dramatic battles, specifically P1 + P2 Vs CPU and P1 Vs P2 + CPU. Or is it just a single player mode.

No, it only allows Vs battles in link. It does have singleplayer dramatic battles as you would expect though.
Awesome fun on two GB Micros and a link cable. Great fun on public transport with friends. I have had some epic battles on the train to the amusement of others lol. It really is a little gem of a game despite the few buttons. Get it! :D
(link cables for the GB Micro are very rare- both 4 player and conventional 2 player are available if you scour around.)
