I have been playing Street fighter 4 for too many hours right now. I will check in a minute but I think it may be over 40 hours. At first, the controls were frustrating but I got used to it. I dont understand why anyone would want to play with the d pad. I just use the stick on the 360 controller. It works just fine.

My frustration though is cancelling moves. For example, I use Sakura and when I do her EX Shuryoken I want to cancel in the middle by pressing the focus attack buttons. I try this in training mode and I get the timing down right and I can pull it off so many times in training mode. When I go online though, its a whole different story! I dont understand why it never ever works online. How can I perform the cancellation of my EX move time after time in training but never in online. I know the guy is gonna block it but I try it anyway to see if I can cancel and it does not work at all. I go back to training to see if I can really pull it off and I swear I can. I honestly dont know how to solve this. Its very frustrating that I know a move is going to be blocked so I know I should cancel but it just fails and the opponent gets a free hit.

Other than that its a great game.

Might be lag thats disturbing your timing, also at least with me its much easier to pull of moves in practice then in the hit of battle.

Very true. The timing in this game is very picky. I could see just a tiny bit of lag fucking it up.

yea, but thats a real shame though. I could fool so many players into blocking my shuryoken and then going straight to focus. It would help alot but im stuck with them blocking and then getting a completly free hit which is why I lose most of the time. Well, truth be told im not even that good of a street fighter player but im getting better with sakura. I have trouble beating Ken players unlike most people. I think I kind of know what I have to do now against Ken players.

    First post here, so hello.

What I found with the FADC was that I was only pulling it off like 1 in 4 times, then I realised you need 1/2 your super bar to use it, which would explain why a lot of the time it wasn't working at all for me. I'm still no good at pulling it off in a match, but I just thought I'd check that you're definitely attempting it with at least 1/2 of your super bar left?

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! really? it has to be half full? I will have to try that. I can never ever pull it off during a match in arcade or online and I was getting so unbelievably frustrated with this. When I go to training mode though, I always set it so that my S gauge is full and I always pull it off without fail.

I will have to try this. Your first post is a very helpful post steve_evil
