I was thinking of getting a PS3 slim, but I've heard people say the connections on Street Fighter IV are worse... 
 
If it is worse how so? or does it just take longer to find a good connection game?

I don't have much experience playing SFIV over Xbox live, but a friend of mine has it and when I play round his it takes a similar amount of time to find a game as my PS3 version.

I'm guessing the 360 fight pad doesn't work on PS3 :P

I would say that's a definite no :)  
I know that some people have modded fight sticks to work on PS3 and 360 though.

no it works fine you click play online and it plays online

They only difference between the two would maybe be the players online since Xbox has more people playing on it than the PS3. But you are still able to find a match very quickly.

i find that not many people play SF IV online, though i'm not sure about people on XBL either. 
the connection is great most of the time.

Yeah ill probably get a Slim then, don't want to move my Xbox or buy another :P  
I don't mind just playing randoms anyway.
