Final Round is the premiere fighting game tournament on the east coast. Final Round XII in 2009 was one of the first majors to house Street Fighter IV, and Final Round XIII in 2010 carries its own significance; it will be one of the last majors for Street Fighter IV, seeing as Super Street Fighter is already well on its way to consoles come late-April. Last year there were close to 300 people in the SFIV bracket, and things are looking even more promising this year, as everyone wants to put their stamp on this game before we ship it out to sea. This truly could be the "Final Round" for vanilla Street Fighter IV. 
 
With this said, this is my first offline tournament I will be attending, which sounds a little crazy. I'm not sure how well I will fare, but I'm sure to have a great experience no matter the outcome. My goal = to win against someone. If I do that, then I'd say my experience is a success. I will be packing light, only bringing an arcade stick, some clothes, an ipod and my camcorder. My stick isn't even a PS3 stick, but who knows what casuals I may be playing at, I'm sure there's going to be random Xbox's throughout the various hotel rooms people will be staying in. 
 
I'll be arriving Thursday, a day before the event begins, and two days before normal singles competition in Street Fighter IV. That'll give me time to dick around the venue with my camera, participate in some hype casuals with nobodies, and hang out with my very special buddy, SpecialBuddy! I'll either be renting a PS3 stick for the tourney (since it's all on PS3), or sharing his dual-modded AMERICA STYLE T.E., hopefully the latter. We'll be staying in the same room, so this is is your opportunity to come down to Final Round with us! WHO'S WITH ME!??!!

Actualy, sorry. My mistake. Ultima will of course be bringing his inflatable Akuma doll along with him.

There will be other things we will be doing other than recording random footage of the tournament. Which if im guessing right will be awesome in itself.
 
Me and Ultima were thinking of doing daily podcasts to give more detail on what is going down at the tournament. Hopefully other people will get in on it. Most likely WestAB at this point.

Did dreadful dentist appointment so I'm feeling good, picked up a PS3 Marvel TE so I have my own PS3 stick, will be purchasing badge today or tomorrow, then it's a done done deal. I got the stick and sacrificed the money I was saving for the Hauppauge PVR, but this was the more important matter, and I wanted to make sure I could play in the tournament without borrowing someones stick. What if Canned didn't show up or his stick broke or something? Yeah so that's dealt with. 
 
I actually swapped out the parts/artwork/plexi/panel for the one my 360 TE has, so I can have my custom look and feel for the tournament. Word.
