    I seen this article on EventHubs and thought it was funny.  Providenceangle has made character mods for SFIV(PC).  Here are a few videos this guy made.  Check out his YouTube channel to see more of them.

    Omg. Their messed up facial expressions are hilarious. Look at Sakura's face at like 35-37secs especially. How much crazier can these mods get besides simple moveset swaps? If can get really out there, I'd buy this again.

    You can't just rip the model. They use a completely different model structure, animation and rigging system, incompatible shaders, etc. Somebody would have to rip the texture files, recreate the model, then recreate the shaders.

    I don't think you'd have to recreate the model but you'd have to rig it over again.  You'd want to find some way to convert the model data, if you were going to recreate the model from scratch, you'd be better served making something original.  Animation wouldn't be necessary for Garry's mod implementation.

    Probably couldn't even rewrite the shaders for Source engine if you wanted to anyways.

    @MrGetBonus: I can see people replacing textures or colors, like people having been doing for years for some N64 games out there. Of course, this would probably be trickier than a blocky N64 model...
