What do you like better the 2D or 3D Metroids?

i personally LOVE the 2D Metroid's they flow much better and make for even more fun moments. As for the 3D ones they  tend to just feel like a shooter rather then a mix of FPS and Platformer. uhh who knows maybe i'am just getting old

They each have their own merits, but I like Metroid Prime the most.

The Prime series is truly spectacular and the transition to 3D was nearly flawless, but I still think the 2D Metroids are superior, especially in this era of first-person shooters.

I love FPS games but I hate the 3D metroid games. Stick to the 2D.

With Super Metroid as, in my opinion, the best Metroid game I would prefer 2D. But Retro Studios did such a great job with Metroid Prime that 3D is almost as good as 2D.

2D by far.

The original Metroid Prime was definitely all the Metroid you could want, I admit the others felt too much like shooters.

Since Metroid Prime 1 was so amazing I can't really choose between 2D or 3D.  If Metroid Prime 1 never existed and it was only the latter 2, 2D all the way.

the metroid prim series is really cool but I wish it didnt bring an end to the long series of 2-d metroid games. For me, the attemp made at 3-d graphics on the ds are really underwelming.

I wish I had a classic metroidvania  metroid game on the DS... or even on the wii. Why not keep both types of games alive and kicking... its not like nintendo will sell less software ...

I loved the 2d ones on the GBA the most.

I was in one of the greatest 2D shooter of all time Robocop vs The Terminator, remember that game? than my video game career went to shit with a 3D game called Robocop, it was the game that made Alex Navarro crazy, so I choose 2D.
