Hands down, one of the best games ever.  And for those who haven't seen these yet, these are FAKE mock ups of Super Metroid HD.  I wish someone would put this game together!

What about Metroid Zero Mission?

Man, Super Metroid was incredible. I'd straight up cut somebody for a new 2D Metroid with some modern graphical wizzbang. In the meantime, though,  this is looking pretty sweet. May not be Super, but it was a damn fine game that's now pretty much unplayable, so this is probably as close as we'll get for the time being unless Nintendo decides to do something about those old 2D Metroid DS rumors...
