Still interest in this? The game builder is more reliable now, so it's easier to play with other people. Easiest way is to be in a Steam group chat room and friend the people you need to play with.
The beta is pretty easy to get into, too. If you sign up https://uberent.com/User/LogOn?RedirectUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fuberent.com%2Fbeta&titleId=1 it seems like you tend to get in within a week or two, when they send out new waves of invites on Thursdays. New invites have been coming with two friendvites, too.
The game is pretty great, so if people were into it I'd be way up for playing. I've been playing with people from another forum, tonight we had three full groups going, good times.

So if we have X people and create the game it finds the rest faster now? Hmm, if so we could try it again, the last one we tried it wasn't a great experience.

Does anyone else find that when this game updates, it has to redownload the entire game? The first patch was 1GB, then 1.5GB and now this one is 2GB, couldn't they have just pushed the new 500MB of data each time?
Trine 2 had the same issue, they only recently fixed that. Games have to restructure themselves to support the partial steam updates. But Uber has said they are working on it.
