Overview

Super Mutant Alien Assault is an action game developed by Cybernate and published by Surprise Attack Games for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

This game is started off in Early Access on Steam until being released in July 2016.

Gameplay

Super Mutant Alien Assault puts players in the role of a low level security robot in order to save the last of humanity.

The game is an action platformer with 3 galaxies made up of four ships each. The stages are a single screen which have pieces of random generation such as the objective, platform layout, and which vending machines are present.

Players can jump and shoot by default, but the main weapons have a finite number of ammo. Each stage has a random objective to complete such as to cool generators, use batteries to power generators, or kill all the enemies. On the last ship of a galaxy players must defeat a boss enemy.

Located randomly in each stage are various vending machines. These vending machines can be used freely, but operate on a cool down. The vending machines can give primary weapons, explosives, and health restoration.
