So in SFIV you had the ability to hit you opponent, typically only once, after the KO occured, but this was removed in SSFIV. The common theory was that it was removed because people found it disrespectful to hit a persons character after the KO, but I kinda liked it to be honest, mostly because it was possible to make the opponent fly around a bit silly. So, did you find it disrespectful if somebody hit you post KO? Is it the fighting game equivalent of teabagging?

Do you miss the post KO hit?
My opinion on the post-KO hit is essentially neutral. I never really had an opinion of it one way or another.
That being said, I don't think there's any negative whatsoever to getting rid of it.
" Is it the fighting game equivalent of teabagging? "I suppose so—I liked doing it. It kind of bothers me that I don't have anything to do, so to speak, after my opponent takes his last hit.
In the arcade playing Children of the Atom and Marvel super heroes, all the way to Capcom Vs series, you had to size up the person you were playing with before you hit the start button and wailed on their corpse. On home consoles online you're less likely to get punched in the face.
It's a little fun to see what kind of hits you can fit in during that small time window. I don't see it as the equivalent of teabagging; I think of it as just trying to get another hit in for fun.
Regardless, I don't miss it that much.
I dont like it because you cant slow kikoken with chun-li going straight into a taunt the second it hits..... I loved doing her little yawn in slo-mo.
YES! that last little tap was always the icing on the cake for me. a final FU before you hit the ground.
I usually only did it if I beat someone with a weak attack. I've always thought it looks a little silly to KO someone with a crouching short or something.
yeah, I miss those post KO hits. when my super SFIV arrived on release day I immediately played online and after each round win, it was natural for me to press some buttons to do the post KO hits, but nothing came out...i immediately felt something was missing... :(
but it's all good now, i didn't mind it eventually lol!
I still find myself trying to get one in, wasn't disappointing though because the fights are usually close and that's what I really care about.
Though now that you bring it up I miss it, especially the execution in 3rd Strike with UOH's or normals
that would turn a somewhat lackluster crumple KO into a "yea, sit the fuck down" Urien Terrible Smash FTW
The worst thing they did to SSF4 coming from SF4. Uuuh it's disrespectful, cry me a river, it's fun, get over yourself.
I'm sure I've done a super post K.O. I think if you initiate it before the K.O. it still happens like if ryu's Hadouken hits them and then you cancel it into his super, it will go through if the first Hadou K.O.'ed him.
OR WAS THAT JUST A DREAM?

I loved sneaking a taunt in right after KOing my opponent in SF3. In SFA3 you can do post-KO hits but only light attacks I've found since taunts aren't fast enough I guess. Either way I do miss it.
I actually read a "proper" term for it over on SRK. Courtesy Buff I think?
If I was playing as Ryu, I would always jump up in the air and hit MP for a victory fist. What I really miss was the time window in 3S. Doing a taunt before the next round was hilarious.
I always make it a fun goal for me to, when I play as Rose, use her U2 to finish somebody off while taunting. Basicly activate balls in a sure-win anti-air/chip/whatever situation and activate taunt.
I've been punished for this, but pulling it off makes it all worth it.
