Well it's getting close to where the early bird deadline is coming to a close. So what better time to start figuring out who's going and staying where. BECAUSE YOU KNOW WE WANT A HOTEL ROOM TOURNAMENT.
@Stang, a while ago you said your Uncle or something could get a deal on hotel rooms, please post actual information on this like price and where the hotel is located so we can figure out if that's where we(IM SPEAKING GENERALLY) want to go.
Once we get a list of people who are 100% going I will construct a nifty table and put your name in it.
I really wish I could go. I had a vacation already planned, so I am thinking I am going next year. My wife really wants to go to Vegas, so it shouldn't take to much convincing.

@Jeffsekai: Well, it's going to be like 120 degrees and your face will melt off the instant you step foot in the sun, so you'll want to either stay at Caesar's Palace or one of the hotels immediately next to it such as Treasure Island, The Mirage or the Imperial. I'm not sure where I'm staying yet, probably not Caesar's Palace but I'll be right next door.

Man......I really wanna GET HYPE, but I just can't. ONLY because, I don't have the money to go...I wanna go SO BAD!! I guess I can still be partly hype for the tourney... :)
@Jeffsekai: You want to use the hotel that everyone uses at Evo. Why? Because people are playing games in the hotel all night and hanging out together all night at the hotel way past the tournament time.

At Final Round specialbuddy and ultima flew down and met up in Georgia and booked a room together. I and a few people from Dallas drove down that night and we booked a room. Specialbuddy and I are both from Dallas so we just invited ultima to hang out / play casuals with the dallas group the whole weekend.

yea, at the time of making this thread I was prolly 80% going. But I've decided to use the money that would have gone to EVO to fixing things around the house and paying for food for me and my Mom. This is a choice 100% made by me and even my Mom doesn't really like the idea of me using all that money on the house but I think she knows that without it certain things will never happen.
I'd love to goto EVO but I really need to get my priorities straight, and fixing things up around the house and having good food is 100x more important than going to Vegas for a video game tournament. (No matter how hype it will be)
So yea, I'd only mentioned this to a few people on a personal level and on SRK a little but so I figured I would put it here as well. Sorry for the confusion.
I am 50/50 at this point. The more I think about it, the more I want to go. I have a good deal of hotel rewards points through work to make it happen. I wouldn't know anyone plus I'm guaranteed to get my ass spanked but it would be awesome nonetheless.
Somewhat unrelated but still a cross country trip for video games, I think I'm definitely going to be hitting up PAX next year.
